The Department was established in the year 1993 with B.Tech programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 120 students,with a mission to enable the students to develop into outstanding professionals with high ethical standards to face the challenges of future, and to fulfill the expectation of our society by equipping our students to stride forth as successful citizens to make a better world.
The Department, headed by Dr. Mary Reena K.E , has total staff strength of Thirty including permanent and guest faculty. The peculiarity of our department is that all the permanent faculty members are postgraduates in different streams.

ACHIEVEMENT OF OUTSTANDING PES WOMAN IN POWER AWARD FROM IEEE PES KERALA CHAPTER STUDENTS AWARD 2019
All the students of ECE department are members of ECE Association. In 2011 a one day technical programme -'OPMAAK'- was conducted. An open house exhibition of working models was conducted, permitting students from various schools to visit the campus.
A good number of our alumni are working all over the world as ambassadors of our institution. Many of them are in MNCs like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys etc and premier national research institutions like DRDO, VSSC, HAL etc.
